Cymdeithas Cerdd Dant Cymru (CCDC) holds a Cerdd Dant Music Setting and Accompanying Course annually. In addition to this, guidelines are provided for setting the music for the set pieces of the Urdd, the National Eisteddfod and the Gŵyl Cerdd Dant in our annual publication calledd Allwedd y Tannau - one of many interesting and useful items in Allwedd!

Please also note that CCDC is willing to consider applications from a group or community who wish to hold a series of music setting workshops in their own areas. CCDC would be willing to pay for the costs of a tutor to run the workshops and the costs of hiring a suitable venue to hold the workshops. One person would have to take responsibility for organizing and coordinating and promoting locally.

The Music Setting Course is held on a weekend in September each year, in a hotel in mid Wales. The course runs from Friday evening until Sunday lunchtime, and the price includes meals and bed for two nights in the Hotel itself.

The course is aimed at anyone who wishes to receive training in the art of setting cerdd dant. All ages are welcome! You can only attend part of the course if you wish, and those who have followed the course before are welcome.

The course is divided into classes as follows:

1. Beginner class
2. Some with some experience but need more knowledge and practice
3. Accompaniment Class

In addition to the practical training from experts in the field, the weekend also includes talks from prominent people in the cerdd dant world, plenty of opportunity to discuss and discuss, and plenty of time to socialize!
